Minibus driver shot by armed bandits at McDoom

A minibus driver was today shot by armed bandits, after a robbery in the vicinity of Mc Doom Public Road, East Bank Demerara.

The man has not yet been identified, but has been rushed to the Emergency Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital. He reportedly has a head wound.

Meanwhile, the robbery was executed by three armed men. Reports are that the men boarded the Route 32 bus, driven by the victim.

After the robbery and shooting, the men fled into a cross-street in the McDoom area.

Investigations are ongoing.
