Police have confirmed that another aircraft has crashed in the interior. This is the second aircraft in a matter of weeks to have crashed in the interior.
The plane which crashed earlier today has been identified as one attached to Wing’s Aviation- a domestic air carrier.
This was confirmed by Public Communications Officer attached to the Guyana Civil Authority, Rashan Reid.
Based on information gathered, the Cessna aircraft, piloted by Dominique Waddell- who was also the lone occupant- crashed moments after leaving the Eteringbang Airstrip in Region Seven.
Miraculously, Waddell received no injuries.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
Notably, on July 25, in the same Eteringbang location, an aircraft attached to Roraima Airways crashed leaving its pilot, Collin Martin, dead.
