Pedestrian killed at Tain by speeding car

A Corentyne pedestrian was on Sunday evening struck down on the Tain Public road, while the perpetrator is now being hunted by police.
The dead pensioner has been identified as Andre Buchan of Tain Settlement, Corentyne.

This publication was told that the accident occurred around 19:00 hrs while the now dead man was attempting to cross the public road.

Eyewitnesses say a speeding motor car- which could not be identified due to the lack of street lights on the road- slammed into Buchan, causing the elderly man’s body to be flung several feet away.

The driver of the unidentified motorcar reportedly fled the scene almost immediately after realising that Buchan was unconscious.

An investigation has been launched.
