Five killed in Berbice smash-up

The driver and occupants of a private motor car were on Sunday afternoon killed following a head-on collision with a motor Lorry on the Number 59, Berbice public road.

Dead is Dhanpaul Kishandyal, the driver of PPP 3394, Savita Manglani, 42, her two children- Emmanuel Manglani, 18 and Ethan Ramjeet, 5- along with another occupant of the vehicle, identified as Reshma Seeram.

According to information, the motor car was traveling south on the eastern carriage way when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a truck approaching in the opposite lane.

Kishandyal was reportedly speeding.

The five individuals were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
