Govt to suspend sitting after Granger’s address

Government members of parliamentarians are planning to suspend the sitting of the National Assembly after President David Granger’s special address in an attempt to avoid a heated debate on the unrest, which occurred at the Camp Street prison this year.

Citizens Report was reliably informed that the Opposition Chief Whip, Ms. Gail Teixeira was notified of this decision by the government Chief Whip Amna Ally.

Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo had told reporters just yesterday that he was looking forward to this session of the sitting to expose the ineptness of the administration.
