According to police information, the victims have been identified as a 40-year-old hair dresser of Stevedore Housing Scheme- who was reportedly robbed of $68,700 cash and one J7 mobile phone valued at $105,000-, 37-year-od Hairdresser of Dedication Place, South Ruimveldt- robbed of $16,000 in cash- and a 54-year-old customer of Aubrey Barker road, South Ruimveldt- relieved of $25,000 cash.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred at around 12:30 hrs.
The two hair dressers were reportedly operating in the western half of the salon, which is divided into two, when two masked and armed men entered an unsecured door on the southern side. The bandits reportedly threatened the staff and relieved them of their valuables before proceeding to the Eastern half of the salon where they robbed the customer who was waiting to have their hair done.
The bandits then fled the scene through a man hole situated on the southern side of the salon’s zinc and wooden fence.
The matter was subsequently reported to the Police “A” Division.
